Abstract

Introduction. Continuously evolving economic phenomena and processes, along with an increase in the interdependence of hard-to-account-for and hard-to-predict factors, shape and increase uncertainty in the functioning of enterprises, necessitating a modification of existing management tools. Objective: development of an original methodology for assessing the efficacy of strategic management in enterprises under conditions of uncertainty.

Materials and methods. Synthesis of system analysis tools, environmental (the paradigm of self-developing environments) and resource (the “subject - poly-subject environment” paradigm) approaches corresponding to the paradigms of the post-nonclassical stage in the development of scientific knowledge, critical analysis of theories and concepts within the basic Schools of strategic management, and methods for assessing the efficiency of enterprises, resource-process approach.

Results. A system of environmental factors by level of uncertainty, taking into account their influence in the formation of enterprise development strategies, is Identified, proposed an algorithm for the author’s methodology for assessing the effectiveness of strategic enterprise management under conditions of uncertainty within the framework of a result-process approach, including four interrelated blocks subordinate to a single goal – determining the conditions for progressive enterprise development in the long term by taking into account the influence of uncertainty factors. The possibility of its use, taking into account industry specifics, in relation to public catering enterprises is shown.

Discussion. The sequence of algorithmized actions will make it possible to take into account to a greater

extent the interdependencies of various factors of different levels of uncertainty in the external and internal environments of an enterprise in a specific branch of the economy, which can become the basis for developing an adaptive model of strategic management. The results obtained are of interest from the standpoint of further of uncertainty. The practical value of the proposed tools is determined by the possibilities of identifying the advantages and limitations of enterprise development in the long term under conditions of uncertainty.
